Very Early Morning Inspiration

I was born in 1954.

I remember well the "protest songs" of the Vietnam War.

I must confess that I had assumed that such songs, like "Compassionate Conservatives" and "Moderate Republicans" had ceased to exist these days.

My heart-felt thanks go out to CrooksAndLiars for showing me I was wrong about such songs. They brought this version of Pink's "Dear Mr. President" to my attention.

There are beautiful versions of this song here, here, here, here and here. Please, please take the time to watch them all, and do not feel embarrassed if tears come.

Once you've seen those videos, please read the comments at C&L.

I also respectfully request that you watch the video embedded below. As I write this, it has been viewed only a few thousand times on YouTube.com, which seems kind of disgraceful.

I humbly thank you for your cooperation.
